Negative Profit Product Report
Lists the sales lines, back office or POS, where a product was sold below its cost, and the loss on each.
Menu: Reports › Financial Reports › Negative Profit Product Report
What it's for
Use it to catch pricing mistakes, wrong discounts and cost errors after the fact. Loss is (Cost − Price) × Qty. Choose POS sales, web (back office) sales or both in Show List By in the filters.
The weekly check shows 24 lines of Corned Beef 150 g sold at 32.00 while the cost was 35.50: a loss of 84.00. The retail price had been entered as 32.00 instead of 42.00 on Monday; the pricing officer corrects it.
Options on the screen
- From / To and Branch: the period and branch.
- Total Loss at the bottom: the loss of all listed lines.
