Settings

Settings changes how CIRMS behaves for your whole company or for one branch: warnings, restrictions, auto-printing, price rules, numbering and more. Settings don't change stock by themselves, but many of them change what users are allowed to save.

Who can open Settings

Administrators, and users with General › Credentials › System Settings.

How to open Settings

Click Settings in the top bar. On a narrow screen it is in your user menu (click your user name at the top right).

How to change a setting

Required permission
General › Credentials › System Settings
  1. Open Settings and choose the tab.
  2. In the tree on the left, click the section, for example Purchase and Other Payment › Purchase Inbound.
  3. Change the setting. The grey text under a setting explains what it does.
  4. Click Save at the top right of the tab.

Each tab has its own Save button. Save before you switch tabs.

A few sections are tables that are saved row by row with ✔ instead: Data Series, Transaction Preferences and Widget Dashboard. The company logo is saved as soon as you upload it.

tip

Users who already have a screen open see the new setting after they reload the page.

Which settings affect a module

Each module page in this guide ends with a Settings that affect this module section, listing the settings that change that module and where to find them. Settings that affect every transaction are listed in Working with transactions, and settings that affect every list in Lists.

In the settings pages, the Affects column lists the modules whose screens or rules read each setting.
