Barcode Scanning Input Mode

Allow EAN-13 barcode searching and validation​

Choices: Yes / No

Treats 12- and 13-digit barcodes as EAN-13 (the 13th digit is a check digit):

  • Yes: searching or scanning a 12- or 13-digit barcode matches on the first 12 digits, and a product can't get a unit barcode whose first 12 digits are already used by another of its barcodes.
  • No: barcodes must match exactly.

Barcode Scan unit is based from​

Choices: Barcode Unit / Default Unit

The unit a product gets when it is added by scanning:

  • Barcode Unit: the unit linked to the scanned barcode (for example scanning the box barcode adds a box).
  • Default Unit: always the product's default unit, whatever barcode was scanned.

If scanned product is already existing in the transaction​

Choices: Popup Selection Box / Auto Append as New Row / Auto Merge Qty to Existing Row

When you scan a product that is already in the transaction:

  • Popup Selection Box: CIRMS asks whether to add a new row or add to the existing row.
  • Auto Append as New Row: always adds a new row.
  • Auto Merge Qty to Existing Row: adds the quantity to the existing row (and moves it to the end).
